The community of Buffalo never rests, providing a calendar of unique events all year round. There is always something to celebrate for all ages!

Buffalo Days*

2nd Saturday through Father's Day in June

2019: June 9th - June 16th

Buffalo Days, the week-long community celebration hosts a variety of events for everyone to enjoy! Take in carnival rides with the kids, waterski shows, fireworks and grand parade, and be sure to meet our royalty!

The event hosts one of the best parades in the area, boasting quality marching bands that march right through downtown! It’s a showcase of the best of the city and something Buffalo takes pride in every year!

Get there early, as the parade route fills up with spectator chairs days in advance!

Art & Craft Festival*

3rd Saturday in August.

2018: August 18th
2019: August 17th

For more than 30 years, every August, the streets of downtown Buffalo are filled with Artisans as Buffalo hosts their annual Art Fair. You will find over 150 vendors showing their wares and sharing their talents. Enjoy an ice cream or a lemonade while you shop or a full lunch from the various food trucks along the way!

Deck the Halls*

1st Saturday in December.

2017: December 2nd
2018: December 1st
2019: December 7th

Don’t miss Santa arriving by firetruck! Take a horse drawn wagon ride and enjoy cookies and cocoa the first Saturday of December for Deck the Halls Downtown Buffalo! The downtown lights up with the mayor officially lighting up the large tree to the entrance of town at the end of the day.

Rodeo

Last Fri/Sat in June.

2018: June 29th & June 30th
2019: June 28th & June 29th

The following week, Buffalo is also the home of Minnesota’s oldest rodeo held annually every June. Come see cowboys work their magic from roping steer to riding bucking bulls and broncos! Enjoy barrel racing and mutton bustin' activities and so much more for a full weekend of showmanship!

Classics Car Show

2nd Sat in September

Are you a classic car buff? Wheels roll in from all over the state to our Classics by the Lake car show every September. There is no better view than seeing hundreds of beautiful vintage, classic, tricked out cars and trucks on the shores of Buffalo Lake. There are food and beverages available to make it a full day of family fun.

Triathlon

1st Sun in June

2018: June 2nd
2019: June 1st

You can get physical in Buffalo as well, as it is host to the second largest triathlon in the state! Every June, over 1,000 athletes participate in the event right in the heart of the city on Buffalo Lake.

Ladies Day Out

Be sure to grab your girlfriends and head out to Buffalo’s bi-annual Ladies Day Out! Spend the day in Buffalo and visit the shops. Each one will be celebrating Ladies Day Out in their own way with prizes and drawings. Over 20 Shoppes!

Pink Street Party

1st Thursday of October.

Seeing the downtown street lights, trees and lake-walk rail all lit up in pink is a sight to see! Join Buffalo in honoring those who have been touched by cancer. Live music, street vendors and a whole lot of fun happens each October with the Pink Street Party.

Concerts in the Park

2018: June 28th - August 30th
2019: June 27th - August 29th

For music throughout the summer, go to Sturges Park on any Thursday night July through Labor Day for Concerts in the Park. Musicians from classic to rock to country will entertain you and the family. Bring your lawn chair or sit on the hill and enjoy the sounds from the permanent band shell and the sights from Buffalo Lake. No better way to spend a summer evening!
