For more than 35 years, every August, the streets of downtown Buffalo are filled with artisans as Buffalo hosts their annual Art & Craft Festival. You will find 85 artisans showing their wares and sharing their talents. Enjoy an ice cream or a lemonade while you shop or a full lunch from the various food trucks along the way!
Buffalo Championship Rodeo

Buffalo is the home of Minnesota’s oldest rodeo held annually every June. Come see cowboys work their magic from roping steer to riding bucking bulls and broncos! Enjoy barrel racing and mutton bustin' activities and so much more for a full weekend of showmanship!

Buffalo Days, the week-long community celebration hosts a variety of events for everyone to enjoy! Take in carnival rides with the kids, fireworks and grand parade, and be sure to meet our royalty!
The event hosts one of the best parades in the area, boasting quality marching bands that march right through downtown! It’s a showcase of the best of the city and something Buffalo takes pride in every year!
Get there early, as the parade route fills up with spectator chairs days in advance!

Are you a classic car buff? Wheels roll in from all over the state to our Classics by the Lake car show every September. There is no better view than seeing hundreds of beautiful vintage, classic, tricked out cars and trucks on the shores of Buffalo Lake. There are food and beverages available to make it a full day of family fun.
Concerts in the Park
2020: Thursdays, July 9-September 17
For music throughout the summer, go to Sturges Park on any Thursday night July through Labor Day for Concerts in the Park. Musicians from classic to rock to country will entertain you and the family. Bring your lawn chair or sit on the hill and enjoy the sounds from the permanent band shell and the sights from Buffalo Lake. No better way to spend a summer evening!

Don’t miss Santa arriving by firetruck! Take a horse drawn wagon ride and enjoy cookies and cocoa the first Saturday of December for Deck the Halls Downtown Buffalo! Sturges Park lights up with the mayor officially lighting up the large tree at the upper shelter. COVID safety precautions in place.

Experienced show kite flyers from Minnesota and the Midwest will demonstrate their skills with kites of all colors, shapes and sizes.
There will also be a precision stunt team performing amazing aerial ballet with their kites. It's a sight to behold!

Street Party of Hope

The Street Party of Hope, formerly Pink Street Party, hosted by Buffalo Hospital Foundation, honors those who have experienced cancer, elevates cancer awareness, and raises funds for the Community Cancer Care Fund. Every dollar raised stays in our community!
