The Buffalo Area Chamber of Commerce created a new holiday tradition in 2005 that included various events in upper Sturges Park on a Saturday afternoon. Children are invited to come on the first Saturday in December for a fun afternoon. Santa will be there to greet the children. There will also be horse drawn carriage rides, refreshments, gifts, bonfire, and caroling.
The event will be on December 6, 2008 starting at 3:30 p.m. and will culminate with the Mayor lighting the tree by the shelter, around 5:30 p.m.
