The City of Buffalo invites you to participate as a racer or spectator at this year's sixth annual Buffalo Triathlon.
There will be two races this year that will begin and end at Sturges Park in downtown Buffalo.
The Sprint course race consists of: 1/4 mile swim in Buffalo Lake, a 12 miles of biking, and 3 mile run.
The Olympic course starts with a 1.5k swim, 40k (24.8 mile) bike, and a 10k (6.2 mile) run.
The Sprint race is designed as a beginning race for those wanting to attempt their first triathlon verses the Olympic race will be more for experienced racers. It is also a great way to start the season for those experienced athletes preparing for other races later in the summer.
The event kicks off Buffalo Days, a week long summer celebration of concerts, a parade, fireworks and other activities for the family. The race was concieved to encourage all ages to participate in group fitness activities as well as to invite triathletes from the entire Twin Cities area and beyond to come enjoy the beauty of the Wright County lakes area.
