  • Farmer's Market

    The Buffalo Farm Market is located downtown across from Buffalo Cinema. The market is open Saturdays fom 8 a.m. to noon throughout the summer season.   The Farm Market, an open-air market with various booths, boasts fresh products grown locally and sold at reasonable rates.  Call Phil at 612-308-2664 for more information.     Congratulations to the 2009-10 Buffalo Royalty, they are:  Miss Buffalo – Cassie Jensen, and Buffalo Princesses Emily Danielson and Hailey Eder.  We wish them a wonderful year in their roles as ambassadors of Buffalo!

  • Butterfly Garden at Sturges Park

    The Buffalo Community Center is creating a “Butterfly Garden” at Sturges Park by the playground and needs your help!  You are invited to pitch in by helping with the planting on Wednesday, June 24, at 1 p.m. and Saturday, June 27, at 9 a.m.  Volunteers for maintaining the garden are also needed.  If you have a green thumb, or even if you don’t, and want to be part of something amazing, please call 763-682-6036.  Everyone from 4 to 104 is welcome to be a part of this lovely addition to the park.

  • Buffalo Library Enjoy Lunch with a Master Gardener

    The Buffalo Public Library is offering a “Lunch with the Master Gardeners” series on the following dates:  June 9, July 14, August 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Master Gardeners Sue Johnson and Susie Olson will be present to answer your questions about gardening.    For more information abut library activities, contact the Library at 763-682-2753.

  • Buffalo Food Shelf Senior Day and Distribution Hours

    The first Monday of the month will be distribution for Seniors (ages 55 and older) at the Buffalo Food Shelf from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Please bring a photo ID and proof of residency (utility bill, etc.) showing you live in the 55313 zip code area.  The Food Shelf is located at 301 12th Ave. S. in Buffalo – 3 blocks east of Cub Foods and Super America.  Regular Food Shelf hours are:  Tuesdays 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.; Thurs 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and Fridays 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  In addition to the regular hours, the Food Shelf will be open the 1st Saturday of each month for distribution and donation drop-offs from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with the exception in July when the Food Shelf will be open on July 11 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. due to the 4th of July falling on a Saturday.  For further information call 763-684-1699 or online at www.buffalofoodshelf.com.

  • Adopt-A-Park

    Adopt-A-Park is a public service program for volunteers to assist their community by picking up litter, communicating maintenance needs, and assisting in improvement projects at Buffalo parks.  The program is open to community groups, civic groups, churches, families and individuals for a period of one year with most activities during the months of April to October.  For more information or a brochure, call Lee Ryan at 763-682-4132.

  • Commuter Bus Service

    The Clinic Cab Company is now offering commuter bus service from Buffalo/Rockford to Minneapolis along the Hwy. 55 corridor is available starting on September 5, 2006. Two inbound and two outbound routes are available Monday through Friday; seats must be reserved. Please phone Mary at (763) 235-2205 for further information.

    Dial-a-Ride Service Now Available in Buffalo

    Buffalo Allied Transit will provide transportation service within Buffalo City limits beginning on December 1, 2008, on weekdays between the hours of 5 pm and 7 pm.  One-way rates: Reserve ride day ahead $1.25 – call same day $2.  Round trip rates: $25 Punch Card (available at Buffalo City Center), includes 20 one-way trips plus two free one-way trips.  763-477-8596
